Global Gaming Expo Big Business in Las Vegas

Anyone who is anyone within the gambling industry could be found in Las Vegas this week; this is where the Global Gaming Expo is happening, a gathering of 25,000 attendees who’re all interested in seeing in which the worldwide gambling market will be headed over the next year.

Easing Up on Regulations Major Focus

Could Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Also Catch Fire? It’s Many Times

This Atlantic City Boardwalk fire from 2009 is just one of many that have plagued the tourist attraction over the years november.

With casino revenues currently mainly in the toilet for nearly all Atlantic City’s land casinos, and the gambling town still recovering from last year’s devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy which shut down many of the city’s casinos for days the final thing this New Jersey city needed had been any proximity at all to just one more tragedy. Along with last week’s horrific Boardwalk fire in the Seaside Heights area maybe not directly attached to AC, but along the same 217-mile stretch of Atlantic shoreline that is frequented by lots of the same tourists and locals one can’t help but wonder if Atlantic City may likewise require an exorcist or to put bloodstream on its casino walls for a passover of the evidently ongoing plagues which can be being doled out from on high.

Or maybe, wooden boardwalks while charming when built 150 years ago are simply not really a safe building material within the world that is modern. Fire specialists are, in fact, now saying the destructive fire appears to have been an episode of arson, though the motivation is unclear.

Amaya CEO David Baazov Charged with Insider Trading by Canadian Securities Regulator

David Baazov, CEO and major shareholder of PokerStars parent Amaya, happens to be hit with insider trading charges in Canada.

Bad Day for Baazov: Amaya CEO David Baazov vigorously denies costs he is guilty of insider trading in relation to the business’s takeover of PokerStars. The Quebec securities regulatory agency has charged the executive, along side others, of using privileged information in the weeks leading as much as the takeover of Amaya in June 2014.

The Quebec financial regulator, said today that he could face up to five years in prison and as much as $5 million in fines if proven, AMF.

The filing relates to allegedly suspicious trading patterns in the weeks leading as much as Amaya’s $4.9 billion leveraged takeover of PokerStars and Full Tilt in June 2014.

AMF filed penal proceedings against Baazov Wednesday morning, along with charges against two other individuals and three separate businesses. Baazov is facing five serious charges, including ‘aiding with trades while in possession of privileged information, influencing or trying to influence the marketplace cost of the securities of Amaya Inc., and communicating privileged information.’
